A Scientific Approach to Solve Our Problem

Why am I here? Because home is not good. Why is home not good? Because we have bad leaders. Why do we have bad leaders? Because we have bad systems. Why do we have bad systems? Because of our bad history. Why do we have a bad history? Because of colonization. Why do we have colonization? Because we submitted our power to foreigners. Why did we submit our power to foreigners? Because of the selfishness of our leaders.

The same problem that brought us to where we are today is being perpetuated by our current leaders. I hope this is not a curse. We must not let this evil continue. It’s high time we stopped it and took back our land from the hands of wolves.

Ending the Seeds of Animosity Among Us

I'm seeing so much animosity growing among Africans living abroad and those at home. I hear complaints about what people from a particular country have done, and so the entire people from that country are condemned.

If you are looking for accommodation, a job, or any assistance at all, the moment you mention you are from a particular country, you are doomed. The door of opportunity is closed immediately. Then, I thought to myself – why should this be a problem among us? Why should what some people have done tarnish the image of an entire nation?

We know there are bad people, and there are those who have spoiled the image of the country where they came from. But why should that be a problem if you are a genuinely loving and kind person? Why should the evil done by others overpower your good? Why should darkness overcome your light?

This is something very serious we must pay attention to because it is eating us up. It is further dividing our nations and making us sow bad seeds into our future.

This is particularly common among countries like Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Congo, and so on. People from these countries resent each other. They vilify one another.

The height of it is if you are from Nigeria, you become a victim of this vilification because they think all Nigerians are bad. They think they are all the same.

I understand, for the most part, that there are some Nigerians who have done bad things. I’ve talked to countless people who have given me bad reports about Nigerians.

Now, that doesn’t make all the people bad. This is the largest Black nation on earth. Everywhere you meet a Black person, you will see at least one Nigerian. That is to tell you how ubiquitous Nigerians are.

So, it stands to reason why many wrongdoings are attributed to Nigerians. And these people doing bad are a tiny percentage compared to the entire population.

To think of the origin of this problem will be another topic of discussion. But for now, let’s focus on ourselves.

We are a people of love and power. We are a smart and intelligent people. Why should we allow hatred and hostility to thrive among us? This is when we need love and unity. This is when we need to support each other and love ourselves genuinely. We are all foreigners in this land, trying to make life better for ourselves. Why should what one person has done tarnish the image of other people?

Let’s keep showing love and support for each other. No matter what anyone has done, let’s not use that to judge other people. Your good will always come back to you. Your kindness will always be rewarded. Don’t resent your fellow African person.

I know there will be sentiment about where you came from. But you are first an African before a Nigerian or Ghanaian. Nature has bonded us together. Let’s not separate from each other and disunite ourselves.

The adversaries don’t want us united. They don’t want us bonded in love because they know that is where our strength lies. But we will not submit to their ploy. We will not allow them to disunite us. We will unite and stay connected. We will triumph and succeed.

I see us becoming a great and powerful continent in the world. Cheers to a higher life.

How Playing Chess Can Boost Your Memory and Mental Health

Chess, a game renowned for its strategic complexity and intellectual demands, has long been celebrated for its ability to sharpen the mind. Playing chess is not just an engaging pastime; it also offers numerous cognitive and mental health benefits, particularly in the realms of memory enhancement and overall mental well-being.

Memory Enhancement through Chess

One of the most notable benefits of playing chess is its positive impact on memory. The game requires players to remember complex sequences of moves, recognize patterns, and recall the strategies of their opponents. This constant mental exercise strengthens both short-term and long-term memory.

**1. Pattern Recognition and Recall: Chess players must identify and remember various patterns on the board, from common openings to specific endgame positions. This repeated practice enhances pattern recognition abilities, which are crucial for memory. By frequently recalling these patterns during play, players reinforce their memory circuits.

**2. Sequential Thinking: Chess demands a high level of sequential thinking, where players must remember the order of moves and their potential outcomes. This sequential processing improves the brain's ability to organize information in a structured manner, aiding in memory retention and recall.

**3. Visual Memory: Visualizing the chessboard and potential moves without physical movement of pieces strengthens visual memory. Players often visualize the board several moves ahead, keeping track of different positions and scenarios in their mind's eye, which significantly enhances visual-spatial memory skills.

Mental Health Benefits of Chess

Beyond memory, chess offers substantial mental health benefits, contributing to improved cognitive function and emotional well-being.

**1. Cognitive Exercise:
Chess is often likened to a mental gymnasium. The strategic depth of the game requires players to engage in critical thinking, problem-solving, and abstract reasoning. These mental exercises stimulate brain function and can help delay cognitive decline associated with aging.

**2. Stress Reduction: Engaging in a focused activity like chess can be a powerful form of stress relief. The concentration required during a game helps distract from daily worries and anxieties, providing a mental escape. This intense focus can induce a state of flow, a psychological state associated with deep enjoyment and reduced stress.

**3. Improved Mood and Emotional Regulation: Playing chess can lead to improved mood and better emotional regulation. The game encourages patience, persistence, and a sense of achievement when a strategic plan is successfully executed. Winning a challenging game boosts self-esteem, while learning from losses can foster resilience and a growth mindset.

**4. Social Interaction: Chess is often played in social settings, whether in person or online. This interaction can help reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness, providing a sense of community and connection. Engaging with others through chess can improve social skills and offer emotional support.

**5. Attention and Focus: Chess requires sustained attention and concentration, skills that are beneficial in many aspects of life. Regularly playing chess can help individuals improve their ability to focus and maintain attention on tasks, reducing susceptibility to distractions.

In summary, playing chess offers a myriad of benefits that extend beyond the board. It enhances memory through the recognition and recall of patterns, sequential thinking, and visual memory.

Additionally, chess contributes to mental health by providing cognitive exercise, reducing stress, improving mood, facilitating social interaction, and enhancing attention and focus. Whether played casually or competitively, chess is a valuable tool for maintaining and improving cognitive and emotional well-being.

10 Foods that Boost Your Memory and Brain Performance

The pursuit of enhanced cognitive function and memory retention is a common goal, especially in our present world that demands high mental acuity. The food we eat plays a pivotal role in this endeavor, as certain foods are known to bolster brain health and support memory. More so, some of those foods enhance cognitive functions and protect against age-related mental disorders. Here are ten foods that can help you with improved memory and brain performance.

1. Blueberries:
Often referred to as "brain berries," blueberries are rich in antioxidants, particularly flavonoids, which have been shown to improve memory and delay short-term memory loss. The compounds in blueberries help combat oxidative stress and inflammation, both of which are linked to neurodegenerative diseases.

2. Fatty Fish:
Fatty fish like salmon, trout, and sardines are loaded with omega-3 fatty acids, essential for brain health. Omega-3s help build membranes around brain cells, improving the structure of neurons and enhancing cognitive functions. Regular consumption of these fish has been associated with slower age-related mental decline and a lower risk of Alzheimer's disease.

3. Turmeric:
This golden spice contains curcumin, a compound with potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits. Curcumin has been shown to cross the blood-brain barrier and has the potential to boost brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), a protein linked to improved memory and the growth of new brain cells.

4. Broccoli:
Packed with antioxidants and high in vitamin K, broccoli supports brain health by maintaining healthy brain function. Vitamin K is essential for forming sphingolipids, a type of fat that is densely packed into brain cells. Studies have also indicated that broccoli's anti-inflammatory properties protect against cognitive decline.

5. Pumpkin Seeds:
These seeds are rich in antioxidants and an excellent source of magnesium, iron, zinc, and copper. Each of these nutrients is critical for brain health: zinc and magnesium for nerve signaling, iron for oxygen transport, and copper for controlling nerve signals. Consuming pumpkin seeds can enhance memory and cognitive function.

6. Dark Chocolate:
High-quality dark chocolate contains flavonoids, caffeine, and antioxidants. These components improve memory by enhancing brain plasticity and stimulating blood flow to the brain. Flavonoids, in particular, may improve memory and slow down age-related mental decline.

7. Oranges:
A single medium-sized orange provides all the vitamin C you need in a day. Vitamin C is key in preventing mental decline and protecting against age-related cognitive decline and Alzheimer's disease. It helps combat oxidative stress in the brain and supports overall brain health.

8. Nuts:
Nuts, especially walnuts, are great for brain health. They are rich in healthy fats, antioxidants, and vitamin E, which protect brain cells from oxidative stress. Research suggests that consuming nuts regularly can improve cognition and prevent neurodegenerative diseases.

9. Eggs:
Eggs are an excellent source of several nutrients tied to brain health, including vitamins B6 and B12, folate, and choline. Choline, in particular, is crucial for creating acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that helps regulate mood and memory. Eggs also help reduce brain shrinkage.

10. Green Tea:
This beverage is renowned for its brain-boosting benefits. Green tea contains L-theanine, an amino acid that can cross the blood-brain barrier and increase the activity of the neurotransmitter GABA, which has anti-anxiety effects. Additionally, green tea's caffeine content improves alertness and focus, while its antioxidants, particularly catechins, protect the brain and enhance cognitive function.

So, those are the ten foods essential for your brain and memory. I believe incorporating them into your diet can significantly enhance your mental capacity and performance. I hope you will live well and enjoy a happy life. Cheers!

Boost Your Liver Health: 7 Essential Foods for Detoxification and Wellness

Dear friends,

Today, I want to share with you 7 foods that are essential for your liver. We all know how crucial it is to maintain a healthy liver for our well-being.

The liver is a vital organ for detoxification, metabolism, and overall body health. To keep it functioning at its best, we need to nourish it with good foods. And we know good foods play a major role in keeping us healthy. So, let’s dive into 7 foods that are great for our liver:

1. Broccoli:

This veggie is a superstar when it comes to liver health. Packed with antioxidants and fiber, broccoli supports liver detoxification by boosting the production of detoxifying enzymes. The fiber also helps regulate digestion and promote bowel movements, which indirectly eases the liver's workload.

2. Garlic:

Known for its powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, garlic enhances the liver's ability to neutralize toxins. It contains sulfur compounds that stimulate liver enzymes to flush out harmful substances from the body.

3. Turmeric:

This potent spice is a fantastic antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. Turmeric helps protect the liver from toxin-induced damage. Curcumin in turmeric stimulates bile production, aiding in digestion and fat breakdown, which reduces the risk of fatty liver disease.

4. Avocado:

Full of healthy fats, like monounsaturated fats and omega-3 fatty acids, avocados help reduce liver inflammation and improve cholesterol levels. They also contain antioxidants like vitamin E and glutathione, which protect liver cells from oxidative damage and support detoxification processes.

5. Citrus Fruits (E.g lemons, oranges, grapefruits):

These fruits are high in vitamin C and other antioxidants that boost the immune system and protect liver cells from free radical damage. Vitamin C also enhances glutathione production, aiding liver detoxification.

6. Yogurt:

Packed with probiotics, yogurt supports gut health and reduces inflammation throughout the body, including the liver. Probiotics help maintain a healthy gut bacteria balance, essential for proper digestion and nutrient absorption, thereby lightening the liver's load.

7. Legumes (E.g lentils, chickpeas, beans):

Legumes are high in fiber, protein, and complex carbohydrates, which help regulate blood sugar levels and reduce the risk of insulin resistance and fatty liver disease. The soluble fiber in legumes binds to cholesterol and bile acids, promoting their excretion and reducing cholesterol levels in the liver.

Incorporating these 7 foods into your diet can support your liver health and help prevent liver disease. I hope you find this list helpful and that it encourages you to make liver-friendly choices in your daily meals.

Have a great moment!

The God of the Eleventh Hour

Have you ever experienced the God of the eleventh hour? Have you ever been in a hopeless situation, thinking all is lost and nothing can be done, but then help comes from nowhere? I have, and I will share my story with you.

The God of the eleventh hour is the God who arises when all hope is gone. It is the God who makes a way where there is no way and brings forth water in the desert.

It is the God who brings solutions to problems that have persisted for what feels like forever, just when you have given up. The God of the eleventh hour is the God who comes when it’s almost too late, when the deadline is nearly hit, and when certainty is almost gone.

The God of the eleventh hour is the God who rescued Peter from prison. It is the same God who saved Daniel and who met Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace.

The God of the eleventh hour is the God who answers prayers, the God who arises when the enemies are about to take your life. It is the God who raised Lazarus from the dead, the God who raised Jairus’s daughter, and the same God who raised the widow of Nain’s only son. It is the God who helped Jehoshaphat and his people overcome their enemies.

The God of the eleventh hour is the God who came to my rescue when I was poisoned and almost dead. All hope was gone, and the doctors said they could do little or nothing, but they would try anyway. They conducted a surgery that lasted several hours, from morning till late at night.

I had a colostomy and had bowel movements through my colon for five months. The Lord rescued my soul and came as a mighty one when the enemies rose like a stormy sea.

It is the same God of the eleventh hour who came to my aid when my future was almost jeopardized. He spoke to the governor of the state, who decided to sponsor our medical training abroad.

During this period, it wasn’t easy; at one point, we couldn’t pay our school fees and were almost deported as government-sponsored students in Ukraine. But the God of the eleventh hour came to our rescue. The school fees was miraculously paid.

It is the same God of the eleventh hour who helped me through my journey in Europe after Ukraine was invaded in February 2022. We had to flee the war and run to other European countries. I went to Germany and later moved to Sweden. To read more, check out the full book here: The God of Eleventh Hour

12 Most Important Questions to Ask When Writing Your Memoir

Writing your memoir involves deeply reflecting on your life and sharing your experiences in a way that resonates with your readers.

Here are some of the most important questions to consider and answer when crafting your memoir:

1. What is the central theme or message of your memoir?

  • Identify the overarching theme or message you want to convey. This could be about overcoming adversity, finding love, pursuing a passion, or discovering your identity.

2. Why are you writing this memoir?

  • Clarify your motivation for writing. Are you aiming to inspire others, preserve your history, make sense of your experiences, or share lessons learned?

3. Who is your target audience?

  • Consider who will be reading your memoir. Understanding your audience helps tailor your narrative to resonate with their interests and experiences.

4. What are the key events that have shaped your life?

  • Identify the pivotal moments in your life that have significantly influenced your personal growth, beliefs, and trajectory.

5. How did you change as a result of these events?

  • Reflect on the impact of these key events on your personality, outlook, and decisions. Describe the transformation you underwent.

6. What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

  • Share the obstacles you encountered and the strategies or mindset shifts you employed to overcome them. This adds depth and relatability to your story.

7. Who are the important people in your story?

  • Highlight the significant individuals who played a role in your journey, such as family members, friends, mentors, and even adversaries.

8. What lessons have you learned from your experiences?

  • Reflect on the wisdom you have gained through your experiences. These lessons often form the core of the memoir’s message.

9. How do your personal experiences relate to bigger societal or cultural themes?

  • Consider how your story intersects with larger social, cultural, or historical contexts. This can provide a richer, more universal appeal to your memoir.

10. What emotions do you want to evoke in your readers?

  • Think about the feelings you want your readers to experience, such as hope, empathy, laughter, or sorrow, and craft your narrative to evoke these emotions.

11. Are you being honest and vulnerable?

  • Authenticity is crucial in a memoir. Ensure you are truthful and open, even when discussing difficult or painful topics.

12. What do you want your readers to take away from your memoir?

  • Consider the main takeaway or call to action for your readers. What do you hope they will feel, think, or do after reading your memoir?

By thoughtfully addressing these questions, you can create a memoir that is not only a personal reflection but also a compelling and meaningful narrative for your readers.

Don't Watch Things Happen, Make Things Happen

From my little experience of life, I've observed there are two types of people in life - those who watch things happen and those who make things happen. The former sit in the audience, passively waiting for the story to unfold, while the latter take center stage, shaping the narrative with their actions and decisions.

If you’ve ever found yourself stuck in the role of a spectator, longing to take control of your destiny, it’s time to step out of the shadows and into the spotlight. Here are a few tips to help you transition from merely watching things happen to making things happen.

Firstly, recognize the power of intention. Every significant achievement begins with a clear intention. Ask yourself what you truly want out of life. What are your dreams, goals, and aspirations?

It’s not enough to simply have vague desires; you need to crystallize your intentions into specific, actionable objectives. Write them down, visualize them, and most importantly, believe in their possibility. Your intentions are the seeds of your future reality, and nurturing them with unwavering belief is the first step towards making things happen.

Once you’ve set your intentions, take decisive action. It’s easy to get caught up in planning and preparation, but without action, your dreams will remain just that—dreams. Break down your goals into smaller, manageable tasks and start working on them one by one.

Action breeds momentum, and momentum leads to progress. Don’t wait for the perfect moment or the ideal conditions; start where you are with what you have. Every small step you take brings you closer to your goal, turning your intentions into tangible outcomes.

Embrace a proactive mindset. Being proactive means taking initiative and anticipating challenges rather than reacting to them. It involves looking ahead, identifying potential obstacles, and devising strategies to overcome them.

Proactive people don’t wait for opportunities to come to them; they create their own opportunities. Cultivate a habit of asking yourself, “What can I do today to move closer to my goals?” By consistently seeking ways to make progress, you shift from a passive observer to an active participant in your own life.

Another vital quality of making things happen is resilience. The path to success is rarely a straight line; it’s often filled with challenges, failures, and disappointments. However, it’s not these things that define you, but how you respond to them.

Resilience is the ability to bounce back from adversity and keep moving forward. When faced with challenges, remind yourself of your intentions and the reasons behind your goals. Use setbacks as learning experiences, adjust your approach if necessary, and keep pushing forward. Persistence in the face of adversity is a defining trait of those who make things happen.

More so, surround yourself with the right people. The people you associate with can have a significant impact on your life and mindset. Seek out mentors, peers, and friends who inspire you, challenge you, and encourage you to pursue your goals.

A strong support system provides valuable feedback, different perspectives, and the motivation to keep going when things get tough. Engage with communities that align with your interests and ambitions, and actively contribute to those groups. Collaboration and mutual support can amplify your efforts and lead to greater achievements.

Lastly, cultivate a mindset of continuous improvement. Those who make things happen are always learning, growing, and evolving. Stay curious and open to new ideas, skills, and experiences. Regularly assess your progress, celebrate your successes, and identify areas for improvement. I see you making a great impact in your world. Cheers!

How to Start Creating Content in 2024

Creating content can seem like a daunting task, especially when you’re just starting out. However, with the right mindset and approach, you can transform your ideas into engaging and impactful material.

Whether you're aiming to write blogs, produce videos, or create social media posts, the journey to becoming a successful content creator starts with a few fundamental steps. Here’s a motivating and practical guide to help you kickstart your content creation journey.

First and foremost, identify your passion. What topics excite you? What subjects do you find yourself constantly thinking about or discussing with others? Your passion will be the driving force behind your content.

When you create content around something you love, it doesn’t feel like work. Instead, it becomes an enjoyable process of sharing your knowledge and insights with the world. Passion fuels consistency, and consistency is key in content creation.

Once you've identified your passion, it’s time to define your niche. A niche helps you target a specific audience and establish yourself as an authority in that area. Narrowing your focus doesn’t mean limiting your creativity; it means honing in on a particular aspect of your passion that you can explore deeply.

For instance, if you’re passionate about fitness, your niche could be vegan bodybuilding, home workouts, or fitness for busy professionals. A well-defined niche makes your content more relatable and valuable to your audience.

Don’t be afraid to experiment and make mistakes. The journey of content creation is a learning process. Try different formats, styles, and platforms to see what resonates most with your audience. Feedback is vital, so encourage your audience to share their thoughts and use their input to refine your content.

Remember, it’s okay if not everything you create is a masterpiece. Consistent effort and a willingness to learn and adapt are what ultimately lead to improvement and success.

I see you making impact like never before and taking your world by storm. Cheers!
