Africans should be prepared for the
glory ahead. We must be ready. Not just in mind, but in body. The glory is
coming—and it’s coming fast. Despite the noise, despite the setbacks, despite
the voices that say otherwise, I know it. I believe it. No matter the distractions.
No matter the challenges. The glory will come, and the world will see it.
I think of amazing people who have
great testimonies. I think of the people of God who the Lord has done great and
mighty things in their lives. And when I look at their stories, I see hope and endurance
that remind me that the end is always brighter than the beginning. It doesn’t
always start the way we expect, but it always ends the way the Lord desires.
Take Joseph, for example. Oh, I love
Joseph! His story began with betrayal—sold by his brothers, thrown into a pit,
and later imprisoned in a foreign land. Nothing about his life at that point
looked glorious. In fact, it looked like the opposite of glory. But despite the
shadows, Joseph held on. He refused to let go of his dreams. He refused to let
go of God. And in the fullness of time, God raised him to sit on a throne in
Egypt, second only to Pharaoh. The glory came—and it came miraculously.
Then I think of David. A shepherd boy who no one regarded, forgotten even by his own father when Samuel came to anoint a king. But the eyes of the Lord were upon him. While the world overlooked him, God prepared him. He went from tending sheep to slaying giants. From being pursued by enemies to sitting on the throne as Israel’s greatest king. His journey was filled with caves, tears, and battles, but the glory still came.
And then there is Ruth. Her story is
one of the most inspiring of all. A Moabite widow with no future, no
inheritance, and no reason to hope. Life had stripped her of everything—her
husband, her home, her security. Yet, instead of giving up, she clung to faith.
She chose loyalty over despair, saying to Naomi, “Your people shall be my
people, and your God my God.” She left her past behind and stepped into an
uncertain future with nothing but trust in the God of Israel.
Ruth’s faith did not go unnoticed.
God honored her sacrifice. In the fields of Bethlehem, she was seen. She was
favored. She was lifted. The same woman who came back empty became the
great-grandmother of King David, and part of the lineage of Jesus Christ
Himself. Out of her brokenness came unimaginable glory.
These are not just stories; they are
reminders for us. They tell us that no matter how dark the night may seem,
morning is sure to come. And I know the story of Africa will be as such. The
Lord is writing a new story that will end in glory.
So I say again: my dear Africans, be ready. Be prepared—because our glory is not a myth, it is a certainty. The testimonies of the scriptures are proof enough. And just as God did it for them, He will surely do it for us. The glory is coming—and nothing can stop it!
