Environment and Health

Environment is key to health. There are internal and external environments. The body controls the internal environment. It maintains a steady, constant environment despite continuous changes in the external environment. A physiological process called homeostasis. Now, for the external environment, the job is left for us to maintain it, vis-à-vis the internal environment. There are many elements in the external environment that can affect our health. From physical(such as temperature, air, water, food, soil, housing, etc), to biological(bacteria, viruses, fungi, helminthics, plants, animals, vectors, etc) and social(other humans around us, societies, organizations, institutions, etc). All these have direct or indirect influence on our health, and they are all components of external environment. Hence, your ability to control and put to check what comes from this environment determines the state of your health per time. Sometimes, the environment poses threats to your health. You either change it or create another one, else you may not enjoy your health. Good environment keep us healthy and makes life good. #Blessings
